Context
As UX/UI Leader, my role was to create a cohesive, user-friendly experience across all platforms while ensuring consistency, efficiency, and business alignment.
The challenge was to design a product that makes complex pricing data accessible and intuitive for users, helping them make smarter shopping decisions without friction.
Additionally, I was responsible for ensuring smooth collaboration between designers and developers, optimizing workflows, and implementing engagement strategies to keep users actively using the app.
Gamification Strategy
To increase engagement and retention, we introduced a gamification layer that rewarded users for interacting with the platform. Some of the key features included:
Mystery Box – Users could open a mystery box daily for a chance to win bonus credits, which could later be redeemed as Amazon gift cards.
Progressive Reward System – Users were incentivized to track and purchase products through PricePulse, earning more credits the longer they engaged with the platform.
Roulette Spin – A fun, randomized spin-to-win feature that encouraged daily check-ins by giving users the chance to increase their credits.
Key tasks
Leadership:
Led the UX/UI team, mentoring designers and ensuring alignment with product goals.
Design cross-platforms UX/UI:
Designed the app experience for iOS, Android, web, and the Chrome extension, maintaining consistency across platforms.

Developed Information Architecture into User flows to create an intuitive navigation experience.
key tasks
Qualitative users info:
Prototyped and tested multiple solutions to refine the best shopping experience.
Quantitative data analysis:
Conducted usability tests & A/B testing to optimize engagement and conversions.

What I Learned from Designing PricePulse in a Startup:
01. Designing PricePulse in a fast-paced startup taught me the importance of agility, data-driven design, and cross-team collaboration. I learned to balance speed and quality, rapidly prototyping and refining features through A/B testing and user feedback.
02. Integrating gamification (Mystery Box, Roulette Spin) showed me how game mechanics can drive engagement and retention, making UX more dynamic and habit-forming. I also gained deeper insight into aligning design with business goals, ensuring every decision supported both user needs and key metrics.
03. Leading the UX/UI team strengthened my mentorship skills, helping designers work efficiently while maintaining seamless collaboration with development. This experience reinforced that great UX in startups is about speed, strategy, and measurable impact.
Sadly this app is no longer available, but it was a huge growth for me and I hope some day the owners re-launch it, because it was really easy and useful for saving money on Amazon purchases.
